Meet the Physicians


J.T. Nichols, D.O.

Dr. Nichols is a board-certified family practice physician who has practiced for more than 35 years. He has previously served as chief of staff at Westview Hospital and has been a member of the board of directors for 25 years. Dr. Nichols earned a doctor of osteopathy degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1975 and is a 1971 graduate of Indiana State University.


Stephanie Overmars, D.O.

Dr. Overmars is a board certified osteopathic medicine and family practice physician. She attended Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, where she earned a degree in Lyman Briggs Physiology and Honors Psychology in 2004. In 2008, she completed her medical training at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and later obtained her certification in Medical Acupuncture for Physicians from Helms Medical Institute. She also served as co-chief resident during her last two years of family practice residency at Westview Hospital, here in Indianapolis.

Over the past year, she has researched vitamin D deficiency in the Indianapolis communities. She presented her research at the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians’ National Convention this past spring. She has strong interests in complementary and alternative medicine and was a speaker on this topic at the Indiana Osteopathic Association’s Annual Winter Update. She has also been published in the Indiana Osteopathic Association’s Hoosier D.O. magazine.
